As a comprehensive and collaborative organization, the Organization of Turkic States attributes particular importance to developing relations with the relevant regional and international organizations. In this regard, the Organization has established ties with United Nations (UN) and its Specialized Agencies, European Union (EU), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
