The Council of Elders of the Turkic Council, which is the permenant advisory body started its 10th Meeting on 25 December 2015 in Istanbul and will continue tomorrow.
The Meeting is attended by Mr. Fattah Heydarov, MP and Azerbaijani Head of the Council of Elders, Ambassador Adil Ahmetov, Former MP, Mr. Beksultan Zhakiev, National Writer of Kyrgyz Republic, and Prof.Dr. Mustafa İsen, MP of the Republic of Turkey. Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov is the moderator of the Meeting.
During the Meeting,
- the current status of various proposals and issues agreed in the previous meetings of the Council of Elders
- activities to be organized in 2016 according to the theme of the next Summit of the Turkic Council “Youth and Sports”
- other issues such as expanding current economic, cultural, political, educational cooperation as well as future activities of the Turkic Council
will be discussed by the Elders.
At the end of the Meeting a protocol will be signed containing the recommendations to be presented to the Heads of States.
