1st Working Group meeting on the Cooperation in the field of Youth and Sports was hosted by the Secretariat of the Turkic Council on 13 February 2015 in Istanbul.
At the meeting, which marks the beginning of cooperation on Youth and Sports among the Member States under the framework of the Turkic Council, Parties discussed the “Turkic Council-Turkic World University Sports Games” (Turkic Universiade) to be held on 19-26 March 2015 in Kastamonu and the “1st meeting of Ministers of Youth and Sports” of the Turkic Council planned to be hosted by Turkey in early April.
Exchanging views on projects envisaged to be launched under the Turkic Council in the upcoming period, Parties agreed in principle to organize Youth Festivals and Youth Summer Camps, trade Youth Experts in a way to share experiences of the countries, and regularly convene Youth NGO’s of the Member States before the Meetings of the Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Turkic Council.
