With approximately 1.300 participants from 77 countries, the 3rd Global Conference on AEO was concluded on 13 May 2016 in Cancun city, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The final day of the conference was dedicated to round table discussions on the importance of international cooperation for promoting harmonized approach on AEO, the future of Mutual Recognition Agreements and future steps to be taken in the field.
On the sidelines of the sessions, Project Director Mr. Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek met with senior WCO officials and a number of panelists to explore the possible ways of cooperation on customs matters to the benefit of the member states of the Turkic Council.
