3rd Meeting of the Turkic Council Ministers of Tourism was held on 7 June 2016 in Cholpon Ata with the participation of Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization.
Hosted by Mr. Altynbek Maksutov, the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic and moderated by the Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, the 3rd Meeting of the Turkic Council Ministers of Tourism was held on 7 June 2016 in the city Cholpon Ata of Kyrgyzstan. 

The Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nazım Samadov, Deputy Minister of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zamir Saginov, Deputy Minister of Culture and Toursim of the Republic of Turkey, Hüseyin Yayman, President of Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali and Kyrgyz Representative of TÜRKSOY Kojageldi Kuluyev participated in the meeting. Mr. Taleb Rıfai, Secretary General of UN World Tourism Organization also participated in the meeting as a special guest.

In his opening speech, Secretary General Hasanov pointed out the importance of the steps taken in tourism field under the Turkic Council and stated that the first ‘fame trip’ of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Tour Package will be kicked off during the 2nd World Nomad Games due to be held in September in Kyrgyzstan. Secretary General Hasanov also conveyed his thanks to Secretary General Taleb Rifai for his participation in the meeting.

During the meeting important decisions were taken regarding the implementation of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Roar Joint Tour Package.  At the end of the meeting a Bilateral Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN World Tourism Organization. Following that, eleven tour operators from the Turkic Council Member States signed UN Ethic Code in the field of tourism, in the presence of Ministers and the Secretary Generals.  The meeting is concluded with a press conference. After the conclusion of the meeting a cultural tour to Issık-Kul took place.
