The meeting, moderated by Secretary General of TURKPA Altynbek Mamaıusupov, was attended by Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov, President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva and Permanent Secretary of the International Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev.
Secretary General Ramil Hasanov gave information about the ongoing activities of the Turkic Council. In particular, he briefed on Completion of draft Textbook of Common Turkic History till 15th Century, elaboration of the concept of Common Turkic Geography and Literature Textbooks that will bring closer the young generations of the Turkic world and Junior Diplomats 4th Training program held in June 2017 in Bishkek
Additionally, he touched upon on preparation of Turkic University Sport Games to be held in Baku, Turkic Youth Festival and the 6th Summit of the Turkic Council to be held this year in Kyrgyzstan, as well as existing relations and prospective new partnerships of the Turkic Council with the UN and other international organizations.
Secretary General Altynbek Mamaıusupov conveyed on the activities of TURKPA, Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov shared information on the TURKSOY projects, President Gunay Afandiyeva told the participants about what has been done so far by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, while Permanent Secretary of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev briefed on the endeavors of the Turkic Academy.
In the course of the meeting, the parties exchange their views on cooperation mechanisms among TURKPA, TURKSOY, Turkic Academy and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. Topics such as creatıng joint observer mission in upcoming Azerbaijani Presidential Election, exchange of the Joint Action Plans of each organization for 2018, enhancement of cooperation between the Turkic Council and TURKPA, jointly celebration of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, 125th anniversary of great Kazakh thinker Magzhan Zhumabayev, 90th years anniversary of the great Kyrgyz writer and thinker Chengiz Aytmatov and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
