A delegation from the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World headed by Secretary General Mr. İlyas Demirci paid a visit to the Turkic Council Secretariat on 25 February 2016.
The delegation held a meeting with Deputy Secretary General Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly and Project Director Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek where further potentials of cooperation between the two organizations were discussed.
Mr. Demirci briefed on the future activities of the Union and requested the Council’s support for the General Assembly meeting of the Union to be held in Azerbaijan later this year and presented an invitation to the introductory event of the said meeting.
For his part, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Saparbekuly underlined the importance of building relations with other international organizations under the aegis of the Turkic Council, such as the International Turkic Academy, in addition to the existing channels of cooperation.
