The Delegation of the Turkic Council headed by Amb. Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council is took part in the work of the VIII Astana Economic Forum.
Today,on 22 May 2015, Amb. Hasanov has participated the Plenary session of the Astana Economic Forum with participation of H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The session was also honoured by the speeches of Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg; Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP); Jacob Frenkel, Chairman of "JP Morgan Chase International"; Kenneth Rogoff, IMF Chief Economist (2001-2003), Professor at Harvard University; Nouriel Roubini, Chairman of Roubini Global Economics, professor at New York University.
President Nazarbayev in his speech underlined the importance of tackling with the crisis. In this way he informed that Kazakhstan is allocating the profit gained by Kazakhstan from raw materials to the Fund, which will support the economy in case of crisis. Furthermore, he noted the infrastructure projects in the framework of the "Nurly Zhol" program.
In Addition, in his address President Nazarbayev touched upon significance of development of transport potential. Hence, he informed the participants that the Railway project Zhezkazgan-Beineu connecting China to Caspian Sea and Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran Railway project has been completed.
