On the margins of his official visit to Berlin to attend the 7th UNWTO Meeting of Silk Road Tourism Ministers, Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council attended the official lunch hosted by Ali Kemal Aydın, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Germany with the participation of Ramin Hasanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Germany, Bolat Nussupov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Germany and Erines Otorbaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany.

Before the official lunch, Secretary General Ambassador Hasanov had a bilateral meeting with Ambassador Aydın and expressed him his gratitude to arrange such a meeting bringing together all Ambassadors of the Turkic Council Member States in Berlin.

During the lunch, Secretary General Hasanov briefed the Ambassadors about the activities of the Turkic Council in a wide range of areas from economy, transport, customs, alternative energy, ICT to education, culture and tourism. In this regard, he touched upon the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package project, the first familiarization (fam) trip will start at the end of April 2017 with the participation of journalists, representatives of international tour operators and experts of relevant international organizations. He also mentioned about the support ensured by the Turkish Airlines and Astana Air for the fam trips. In this regard, he underlined the needed support of the Ambassadors in Berlin to further promote the Joint Tour Package in Germany. Secretary General also gave information about the advanced relations of the Turkic Council with the international organizations such as UNDP, UNOSSC, UNWTO, UNAOC, OSCE, OIC, ASEAN and ECO.

Ambassadors of the Turkic Council Member States stated their firm support to the projects of the Turkic Council in various areas. They underlined their readiness to contribute to the promotion of the Joint Tour Package in Germany. Furthermore, they noted their commitment to organize joint events in Berlin to further raise the visibility of the Turkic Council in the international arena.

At the end of the official lunch, Secretary General Hasanov presented the plaquet of the Turkic Council to the Ambassadors for the memory of the day.

Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during his contacts in Berlin.
