During the visit in Baku Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, who is participating in the 3rd Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Turkic Council being held on 27-28 November 2014, met with Mr. Aslan Aslanov, President of the AzerTAc (Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency). Emphasizing the importance of informing the public about the activities taking place within the Turkic World, the Secretary General informed the head of the AzerTAc about the work carried out within the framework of the Turkic Council.

Ambassador Ramil Hasanov invited the AzerTAc to join the Meeting of the Coordination Group for the Establishment of Joint Educational Television Channel and the Establishment of International Turkic News Channel to be held in February 2015. At the same time a special blog of Turkic World news will be opened in AzerTAc website, which will provide news of the Turkic Council and its affiliated agencies and organizations. Mr. Aslanov welcomed all the proposals and offered to transform existing Turkic Speaking News Agency to the agency with international status.
