Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, participated in the closing ceremony of the 2nd Meeting of International Network for UNESCO Silk Road Online Programme with the theme of Silk and Peace on 12 June 2016 at the historical building of Valencia "Londja de la Seda" that was used as a center for silk trade at the ancient time.

 

High representatives of UNESCO and Silk City of Valencia addressed the audience at the closing ceremony underlining the Silk Road heritage in Valencia. Furthermore, Jose Maria Chiquillo, elected President of the said Network delivered his concluding remarks. After the session, the Silk Awards were distributed to their addressees during the ceremony in the presence of Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization. Ömer Önhon, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Spain was among the high level guests of the ceremony.

 

Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul and representative of Governorship of Sheki – Cultural Capital of the Turkic World for 2016 Sarkhan Musayev accompanied the Secretary General Ramil Hasanov at the closing session and award ceremony.
