As a part of his official visit to Kyrgyzstan, Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev on 6 April 2017.
Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, who arrived in Bishkek following his contacts in Astana, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev on 6 April 2017.
Secretary General Hasanov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdyldaev made evaluations on the ongoing activities of the Turkic Council carried out in the fields of transport, energy, education and science. They also touched upon prospective Junior Diplomats Education Program and Council’s relations with other international organizations.
Furthermore, Secretary General reported about the planned Meetings of Turkic Council Ministers in charge of Youth and Sport, Turkic Council Ministers in charge of Culture and Tourism and the Meeting of Turkic Council Energy Ministers, which is going to be held for the first time. The said events are expected to be held in the coming May and June.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdyldaev thanked Secretary General Hasanov for his visit and for the information he shared. He emphasized the importance of the projects carried out by the Turkic Council and congratulated Secretary General Hasanov for his devoted efforts in strengthening the coordination among the member countries. The minister also wished the successful continuation of the launched projects and stated that Kyrgyzstan will continue to support the organization.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov presented the Activity Report of the Turkic Council for 2016, brochure of the international conference commemorating the “Khojaly Genocide” taken place in Ankara and brochure of the international conference on the “Role of Youth in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism” co-organized earlier with UNAOC to Minister Abdyldayev.
Project Director Zhyldyz Uzakova and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General during the meeting.
