Chairman of Council of Elders, H.E. Binali Yıldırım visited Kyrgyzstan
Chairman of Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Binali Yıldırım visited the Kyrgyz Republic on 22 March 2022.
In Bishkek, H.E. Yıldırım was received by the President of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Sadyr Japarov and the Speaker of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Talant Mamytov, in which Parties discussed the increasing importance of the Organization of Turkic States and the support of Kyrgyzstan to the activities of the Organization.
H.E. Yıldırım emphasized that after the latest historic Summit in Istanbul, the Council of Elders will contribute more to the cooperation among the Member and Observer States. 
H.E. Yıldırım had also meetings with the Minister of Economy and Commerce H.E. Daniyar Amangeldiev and the Minister of Transport and Communications H.E. Erkinbek Osoev in the Kyrgyz capital. 
In the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Chairman of the Council of Elders emphasized the necessity of developing the relations among the OTS Member States and specifically boosting the economic and transport ties. Minister Amangeldiyev stated that they are working on increasing joint trade volume with the other Member States and drew attention to the importance of the Turkic Investment Fund.
In the Ministry of Transport and Communications, H.E. Yıldırım and Minister Osoev exchanged views on the increasing potential of Kyrgyzstan in transit routes and the importance of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (Middle Corridor). Parties also discussed the advantages of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan transport line as an important transit path for the international trade between East and West.
Chairman also met the Kyrgyz Elder H.E. Madatkhan Sherimkulov in a working dinner and exchanged views on the implementation of the decisions taken at the latest meeting of the Council of Elders held in Istanbul.
Deputy Secretary General of OTC Omer Kocaman also attended meetings in Bishkek.
