We are deeply saddened to learn the loss of life and destruction wrought by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that hit Türkiye’s city of Kahramanmaraş and was felt in a very wide region. In this time of grief, the Organization of Turkic States expresses its solidarity with the brotherly people and the government of the Republic of Türkiye,  conveys its most sincere condolences to the families of victims and wishes a speedy recovery to all injured. We are confident the strength and resilience of the Turkish people will carry them through this catastrophe.
