We are deeply saddened to learn the loss of life and destruction wrought by the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that hit the city of Elazığ on Friday evening.
We at the Turkic Council express our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the Republic of Turkey, to the families of the victims and sincere hopes for speedy recovery of the injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the government and people of Turkey at this difficult time, and we are confident the strength and resilience of the Turkish people will carry them through this catastrophe.
