I have learned with great pleasure the media statement of President of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev regarding the decision of Uzbekistan to join the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, which was made during the joint press conference organized within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Uzbekistan together with President H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The accesion of Uzbekistan to the Turkic Council , which has made significant foreign policy breakthroughs under the leadership of President H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will undoubtedly provide great power and wealth to the work of the Council. It is also evident that this decision will be instrumental in increasing the effective activities of the Turkic Council in many spheres, from economiy to politics, from culture to education and sports. Furthermore as a regional and global organization containing all the elements of the Turkic world, the goal and mission of integration among the Turkic States will be accelerated.
On behalf of the Turkic Council and on my own behalf, I would like to express once again our gratitude on the statement of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev regarding the decision of Uzbekistan to join the Turkic Council. We look forward to see the flag of Uzbekistan to wave together with the flags of the Members States at the Office of the Turkic Council in İstanbul and to have Uzbekistan during the Summit Meeting of Heads of States to be organized this year in Bishkek.
