The foundation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, on 28 May 1918, is a turning point in the history of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan, whose foundations were laid in those days, is the rising power of the region as well as of the world and the source of pride of the Turkic world with its developing economy, leading industry, successful armed forces and contemporary modern education system.
On behalf of the Turkic Council and on my own behalf, I once again would like to celebrate wholeheartedly, the 101st anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and taking this opportunity I wish for a bright future full of peace, well-being and prosperity to the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as to the entire Turkic world.
