The National Leader of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev successfully saved Azerbaijan from a possible civil war in 1993 and was elected President of "Ali Meclisi" on 15 June 1993.
This date that the fate of Azerbaijan changed is known celebrated as the National Salvation Day by the whole Azerbaijani people. After this date, thanks to the unity of the people of Azerbaijan, solidarity and stable leadership of Haydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has got its place in the international arena today.
