The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Mr. Baghdad Amreyev chaired a meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Organizations of Turkic Cooperation on March 2, 2022. 

The meeting was attended by Mr. Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the Turkic Academy, Ms. Gunay Afandiyeva, President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mr. Fuad Alakbarov, Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA, Dr. Bilal ÇAKICI, Deputy Secretary General of TÜRKSOY as well as Omer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of OTS, Gismat Gozalov, Deputy Secretary of OTS, Sultanbai Raev, Deputy Secretary General of OTS and Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of OTS. 

During the event heads of Turkic Cooperation Organizations (TurkPA, TÜRKSOY, Turkic Academy and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation) presented their annual activity reports, discussed their respective events to be carried out in the upcoming period – joint activities to be organized in the course of 2022 and beyond in line with the OTS Strategy 2022-2026 as well as voiced their proposals on enhancing the inter-organizational coordination.

Secretary General B. Amreyev underlined the relevance of timely completion of procedures on preparing necessary amendments to the founding documents of the OTS and its affiliated and related organizations so as to provide prevention of duplicating functions in the light of the decisions made during the Istanbul Summit on November 12, 2021.

In this vein Heads of Turkic organizations shared their views of measures on ensuring a better coordination between the OTS and the related and affiliated organizations of the Turkic cooperation.

B.Amreyev expressed  gratitude to the Secretary General of TÜRKSOY Prof. Dusen Kasseinov for his precious contribution in the development of the Turkic World as well as congratulated Deputy Secretary of the OTS Mr. S.Raev on the occasion of his upcoming inauguration as the new head of the main Turkic organization on culture and wished him success.
