Delegation of the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States headed by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov held a meeting with Akim of Turkistan region Mr. Darkhan Satybaldy on 3 October 2022 in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
The parties exchanged views on the avenues of further enhancing the cooperation between Turkistan region and OTS in fields of trade and economy, transport, tourism and other areas of common interest as well as strengthening the network and collaboration among local governments of the Member and Observer States. They underlined in this regard importance of the concept of «Turan» Special Economic Zone (TURANSEZ).
They focused on attracting tourists to Turkistan in the framework of implementation of “Tabarruk Ziyarat” pilot project between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Deputy Secretary General Azimov and Akim Satybaldy discussed the upcoming 1st International Conference on the Turkic World Vision - 2040 to be held in Turkistan , which is the Spiritual capital of the Turkic World in October 2022.
The meeting was attended by Akim’s deputy Mr. Arman Sabitov, Head of Tourism department of the Governor’s Office Ms. Gulmira Akberdiyeva and OTS Project Directors Mr. Ersin Aydogan, Mr. Shokirjon Rakhmatov and Mr. Yerzhan Mustafin.
