Delegation held series of meetings with high officials of the respective Ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Vice–Minister of Trade and Integration Mr. Kairat Torebayev, Vice–Minister of National Economy Mr. Zhaslan Madiyev, Vice–Minister of Culture and sport Mr. Orken Bisaqayev, Vice-Minister of information and social development Mr. Marat Azilkhanov, Vice-Minister of Energy Mr. Asset Mauov, Vice-Minister of Industry and infrastructural development Mr. Kamaliyev Sailauuly, Vice-Minister of Ministry of Education and Science Ms. Sholpan Karinova, the President of the Turkic Academy Mr. Darhan Qydyrali, Chairman of the Board “Kazakh Tourism” National Company Mr. Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Director of international relations Mr. Miras Torubayev, Chairman of sport issue and physical culture committee of Ministry of culture and sport Mr. Serik Sapiyev, and Director of Regional Branch of the Damu Fund in Nur-Sultan, Mr. Nursultan Abdolla.
Parties discussed in detail the implementation of the decision taken at the 7th Turkic Council Summit, the issues that are currently on the agenda of the Turkic Council in various fields ranging from economy, trade and investment to transport, tourism, youth & sports and education; and exchanged views on future opportunities to ensure a better cooperation among the Member States in the framework of the preparation of the strategy document called “Turkic Future – 2040”, proposed by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy and Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev at the said Summit.

At the meeting with Vice–Minister of Trade and Integration Mr. Kairat Torebayev parties exchanged views on the issues on the current economic agenda of the Organization, short, mid and long-term vision of Kazakhstan regarding the prospective cooperation opportunities among the Turkic Council Member States in the field of trade and efforts for the preparation of the Turkic Vision 2040.
During the meeting with Vice–Minister of National Economy Mr. Zhaslan Madiyev parties discussed the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund, long-term vision of Kazakhstan regarding the prospective cooperation opportunities among the Turkic Council Member States in the field of economy and investment and proposals in terms of the preparation of the Turkic Vision 2040.
At the meeting with Vice-Minister of information and social development, Mr. Marat Azilkhanov, the Parties discussed the overview of the projects and activities to be undertaken in 2020 based on the decisions taken at the 4th meeting of the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports held in 2019 in Bishkek, details of the the 2nd General Assembly of the Youth Platform and the 4th International Youth Festival of the Turkic Council to be hosted by the Kazakh side in 2020.
The issues of establishing close cooperation among members in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy through establishing the Turkic Council Ministerial and Working Group meetings in charge of energy field were pointed out during the meeting with Vice-Minister of Energy Mr. Asset Mauov.
During the meeting with Chairman of the Board of “Kazakh Tourism” National Company Mr. Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Parties shared their views on strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism through using the national resources and agreed on explore the possibility on conducting joint projects/ programs which will contribute effectively to development of this sector in the Turkic region.
At the meeting with Chairman of sport issue and physical culture committee of Ministry of culture and sport Mr. Serik Sapiyev, the Parties discussed the ongoing cooperation under the Turkic Council in the field of sports, preparations to the 4th World Nomad Games to be held in Turkey in 2020 and the 1st Ethnosport Games in 2021 in Kazakhstan in close cooperation with the Turkic Council Secretariat.
The issues on organizing the Road Demonstration Tour across the Trans-Caspian International East-West Middle Corridor starting from Khorgos Logistic Centre (Republic of Kazakhstan) and checkpoint Irkeshtam (Kyrgyz Republic) to Istanbul to demonstrate the efficiency of the corridor to the world, facilitation transportation procedure across the Trans Caspian Corridor through creating mutually beneficial special initiatives and privileges among the Member States for the transport and logistics companies and etc. were discussed between the during the meeting with vice –minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development, Mr. Talgat Zhanzhumenov.
At the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ms. Sholpan Karinova, the Parties the further steps of developing cooperation among the Member States in the fields of history, culture, and language; finalization of the all procedures for full-operationalization of the Turkic Academy, Turkic University Union (TURKUNIB), conducting the Orkhun Exchange Program of the Turkic Council and 2nd Turkic University Sports Games (Turkic Universiade), organization of the 3rd Student Exchange Program among secondary/high schools, as well as the prospect of signing the “Host Country Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Turkic Academy”.
The delegation visited the office of Turkic Academy in Nur Sultan and had a meeting with the President of the Academy Darkhan Qydiraly. Parties discussed the ongoing cooperation in the framework of the Agenda of the Turkic Council.
