Deputies Secretary General Abzal Saparbekuly and Ömer Kocaman paid a working visit to Kazakhstan on 9-11 March 2017. 
 
On 9 March 2017, Deputies Secretary General met with Gosman Amrin, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as paid a courtesy visit to the Nevzat Uyanık, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Astana. At the meeting with Deputy Chairman Amrin the issues on the agenda of the customs cooperation were discussed. Mainly organization of the Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Turkic Council, organization of the Workshop on the Authorized Economic Operator and modernization of custom posts were elaborated during the meeting.
 
On 10 March 2017, Deputies Secretary General met with Azamat Abdraimov, the Director of EXPO-2017 Secretariat. The issues of participation of the Turkic Council at the Astana EXPO-2017 were discussed during the meeting. Also the possibilities of organization of a Special Business Forum on Alternative Energy in the framework of the Astana EXPO-2017 were elaborated.
 
On 11 March 2017, Deputies Secretary General met with İbrahim Canlıel, Senior Vice President Commercial Group of Air Astana. Deputies Secretary General shared information regarding the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package and fam trips to be made in April and May 2017. Furthermore, the areas of cooperation of the Secretariat and Air Astana to this end were discussed. As the meeting adjourned Senior Vice President Canlıel expressed the appreciation of the realization process of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package and stated Air Astana’s readiness to provide support to the said project of the Turkic Council.
 
Project Director of the Turkic Council Assan Mazhitov accompanied the Deputies Secretary General during their working visit to Kazakhstan.
