Upon the invitation from the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Mr. Zhanseit Tuimebayev and His Spouse Ms. Zhanat Yensebayeva, Deputy Secretary General Abzal Saparbekuly attended the opening cocktail for the exhibition entitled “Contemporary Art of Kazakhstan” which is co-organized by Kazakhstan Embassy and Has Sanat Art Gallery and hosted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality at Cumhuriyet Art Gallery/Maksem on 20 January, 2016. The event was also attended by senior officials from the Istanbul Governorate, Metropolitan Municipality and IRCICA. Mr. Saparbekuly was accompanied by Project Directors Zhyldyz Uzakova and Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek.
Various pieces are to be exhibited in the gallery until 29 January 2016, displaying the modern, traditional and avant-garde examples of Kazakh art. This exhibition, which presents the works of prominent Kazakh artists, comes as a series of exhibitions held throughout Europe.
