Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman of the Turkic Council participated in the II Humanities Forum.
Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the II Humanitarian Forum hosted by the International Turkic Academy on 26 May 2017 in Astana.
At the opening session, the Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalykova has read the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev. In addition, President of the International Turkic Academy, President of the Science Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organisation, Director of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies by the UNESCO and President of the Turkish History Society made their addresses at the opening session of the Forum.
The Forum covered the issues of spiritual revival, scientific integration and common values, historical memory and future perspective, Turkic literary traditions, Turkic languages and Turkic cultural heritage.
Over 300 officials, academicians and different experts had contributed to the work of the Forum.
Moreover, Deputy Secretary General Kocaman has participated in the International Scientific Conference in honor of 80th Anniversary of the first Aksakal of Council of Elders from Kazakhstan, Myrzatay Zholdasbekov. Deputy Secretary General Kocaman handed over the congratulation message of the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov to Aksakal Zholdasbekov.
