On his official visit to Astana to attend the 6th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries (TURKPA) the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Abzal Saparbekuly met with the Chairman of the Committee of Communication, Informatization and Information at the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Kazangap.

During the meeting the Deputy Secretary General and the Committee Chairman talked over the cooperation among the Member States of the Turkic Council in the sphere of information and media, particularly they discussed the prospective establishment of the International Turkic News Channel. They also addressed the activities that could be carried out in the sphere of information and media during the Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship at the Turkic Council taking into account the already existing legal basis established among the official authorities of the Member States.
