Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Abzal Saparbekuly participated in the opening ceremony of the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), the fifth largest tourism fair of the world and the largest tourism fair in the region, held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul on 26 January 2017.
Nabi Avcı, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, Vasip Şahin, Governor of Istanbul, Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization addressed the participants at the opening ceremony of the fair.
This year, more than 70 countries participate in the fair, which is organized since 1997 and will continue until January 29th.
Deputy Secretary General Saparbekuly was accompanied by Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki during the ceremony.
