Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Abzal Saparbekuly participates in the international archaeological expedition organized by the International Turkic Academy in Mongolia.
Members of the delegation visited in Otukan region, the monument of Kutlug Kaghan, "Şiveet-ulan" complex, monuments of Bilge Kaghan and Kultigin. The work that has been carried out by the International Turkic Academy in "Şiveet-ulan" in last three months is the first archaeological excavation project held in this complex.

The stone sculpture of Kutlug Kaghan who is the founder of 2nd Western Turkic Khanate as well as the "Bengu Stone" which has on it stamps of 63 founding Turkic tribes, exhibited in the complex.

Furthermore, in the context of this event, the 2nd Steppe Seminar was organized with the participation of Mongolian delegation headed by the Governor of Bulgun province. Deputy Secretary General Abzal Saparbekuly delivered a speech during the Seminar and informed the participants about the Turkic Council activities as well as drew attention of the participants to the importance of the Turcology and Mongolian studies being conducted by the International Turkic Academy.
