Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman met with Vice-President of Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) Sayit Yusuf on 28 February 2017.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the Second Diaspora Forum of the Turkic Council planned to be organized in 2017 in Turkey and the activities of the Turkic Council Regional Diaspora Center. Parties agreed on the transfer of Turkey’s institutional experience in the field of diaspora cooperation to other member states of the Turkic Council through various programs and projects; the organization of a summer camp in 2017 in Turkey with the participation of a minimum of 10 students aged 13-18 from each Member State’s diaspora; and allocation of quotas for 10 persons from the Member States’ diasporas to participate in the Turkic Council International Youth Camp.
