Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the reception organized on the occasion of the Seventy-First Anniversary of the United Nations on 24 October 2016 in Ankara.

Hosted by the UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Kamal Malhorta, the reception was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, Ambassador of the United States to Ankara John Bass as well as many other ambassadors of various countries, government officials and bureaucrats.

UN Resident Coordinator Malhotra, addressed to the guests at the reception, referred to the UN`s work to end poverty, inequality and injustice and overcome climate change by 2030 and has conveyed information about the “2030 Agenda" to the participants.

Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman had bilateral discussions with the high level guests throughout the reception.
