Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly attended 2014 OSCE Mediterranean Conference in Neum, Bosnia-Herzogovina on 27-28 October 2014.

Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly attended 2014 OSCE Mediterranean Conference in Neum, Bosnia-Herzogovina on 27-28 October 2014.
Upon the invitation of Host country Bosnia-Herzogovina Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly attended 2014 OSCE Mediterranean Conference on illicit trafficking in Small arms and light weapons and fight against terrorism in the Mediterranean region held in Neum, Bosnia-Herzogovina on 27-28 October 2014. 

Deputy Secretary General contributed to work of the Conference through sharing goals and activities of Turkic Council regarding the security challenges faced by the countries in the region and beyond. 

He underlined that preventing terrorism requires close international and regional cooperation. In this respect, he pointed out the importance of developing and strengthening cooperation and coordination between OSCE and Turkic Council.

2003 Maastricht Strategy of OSCE advocated continuation of developing contacts with organizations in other regions.
