Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council participated as a panelist in High-level Forum of UNOSSC
Deputy Secretary General  of the Turkic Council Dr.Ömer Kocaman participated as a panelist at the 4th session on the role of Multilateral Development Institutions, Regional Organizations and Uinted Nations system in supporting and promoting SSTrC for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) High-level Forum of Directors General for Development Cooperation  that took place on 13 December 2019 in Istanbul.

Director of UNOSSC and Envoy of the Secretary-General on South-South Cooperation Jorge Chediek, high-level representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency, Islamic Development Bank and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency addressed the audience during the opening session of the High-level Forum of Directors General

In his speech, Dr.Ömer Kocaman underlined that the Turkic Council has built a platform for South-South Cooperation that facilitates the fostering of knowledge and experience sharing among its members. In this context, he shared about Turkic Council’s projects in the fields of tourism, youth and sports, as well as the young diplomats training program. He also touched upon the international conference on the role of youth in preventing and countering violent extremism co-organized with the UNAOC.
