Dr. Ömer Kocaman Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council visited Prof.Dr. Sebahattin Balcı Chairman-in-Office of the Turkic Council Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB) and the Rector of KTMU on 3 July 2017. Mr. Baatırbek Akılbekov, Rector of Kyrgyzstan International University, Assoc. Dr. Hakan Dündar, Secretary General of the Chairmanship-in-Office of TÜRKÜNİB, Assoc. Dr. Yunus Emre Gürbüz, Coordinator of KTMU  Central Asian University Association, Ms.Camila Urkunçiyeva, External Relations Officer and Mr. Bulent Namal Director of KTMÜ Radio-Television were also present at the meeting.

 

During the visit, the Orkhun Exchange Program, the Common Citizenship Education Project in the Turkic World, the Turkic World Tourism Guide and the Media Manas Project were discussed.

 

It was stated that the applicants were satisfied with the Orkhun Exchange Program and the pilot implementation principles of the Program were emphasized. The introduction of the Project of Common Citizenship Education in the Turkic world to the related bureaucrats of the Turkic Council member countries has also been discussed. The Tourism Guide prepared by KTMU and informing the tour operators about this guide was also among the topics discussed. Finally, the meeting focused on the support of Media Manas, the media center of Manas University by the Turkic Council.
