On 28 February 2018, Director of GEO College Yunus Tonun and Public Relations Coordinator Serkan Özkan made a courtesy visit to Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov. GEO College will start its activities in 2018-2019 academic year at the neighboring building of the Turkic Council Secretariat premises in Balmumcu. 

GEO College Director Tonun expressed their pleasure for being a neighbor with the Turkic Council and conveyed information about the vision and mission of their school. He stated that with the capacity 5000 students, they would like to organize regular brifiengs about the Turkic world and the Turkic Council with the participation of experts from the Turkic Council thus emphasized that children and young people, who are our future, will have more knowledge about the Turkic world as well as the work of the Turkic Council.

Secretary General Hasanov conveyed his thanks for this kind visit and informed them about the activities and projects carried out by the Turkic Council. Secretary General Hasanov also welcomed the proposal of Mr. Tonun and stated that they are ready to give every support and to cooperate in this matter.

At the end of the meeting, Director Tonun presented Secretary General Hasanov the portrait of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder and Great Leader of the Republic of Turkey, Secretary General Hasanov gave the flag and map of the Turkic Council as well as a file containing its publications.
