An ad-hoc meeting of the Working Group for Health Cooperation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held via videoconfence on 4 June 2024.

At the meeting moderated by the OTS Deputy Secretary General Dr Omer Kocaman the members of the Working Group shared on the outcomes of the 3rd meeting of Ministers in charge of Health of OTS held on 16 August 2023 in Samarkand as well as future joint acitivies and the preparatory works for the 4th Ministerial to be held in Azerbaijan in October 2024.

The sides agreed to arrange meetings of the OTS Health Research and Development Group, Supply Chain Group, sub-working groups and other platforms in the upcoming period to explore the cooperation opportunities in the fields of telemedicine, traditional medicine, common health tourism network, fighting rare diseases, etc.
