First Round Table of the Turkic Business Council was convened on 26 November 2014, in Istanbul along with Round Table Meeting for ICCIA (Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture) Board Members & OIC Member Countries hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
Round table was opened by the addresses of Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the TOBB & Vice President of ICCIA, Mr. Shaikh Saleh Kamel, President of ICCIA and Mr. Cevdet Yilmaz, Minister of Development of Turkey. Then the discussions on the topic of “A better trade and investment environment in OIC member countries” was held.
During the discussions, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov gave information on the current and future activities of the Turkic Council and Turkic Business Council and expressed his readiness for the possible cooperation with the OIC through certain concrete projects from trade, to education, to transport etc.
Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Sabr Yessenbekov, Chairman of the Board of Chamber of International Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic also shared their views on the topic.
