First Sports Games of Turkic Council Turkic University Union were hosted by current Chairman-in-Office Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University on 15-19 May 2017 in Bishkek.
Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Project Director Zhyldyz Uzakova participated in the closing ceremony and the award ceremony taking place on 19 May 2017.
A total of 300 athletes from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey representing 11 member universities of the Turkic Council Turkic University Union took part in the games.
The ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to Bishkek, as well as Education Counsellor from Turkey’s embassy to Biskek were present at the closing ceremony.
