First Turkic Council Diasporal Meeting to be held in Baku
First Meeting of Turkic Council Ministers and Heads of Agencies responsible for Diaspora Issues will convene on January 24, 2013 in Baku, Azerbaijan. 
 
The Meeting will be attended by senior officials from agencies and organizations of the Member Countries, namely, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, responsible for diasporal issues, who will discuss ways to promote collaboration between Turkic diasporas all over the world within the Turkic Council framework. 
 
The Turkic Council delegation, comprised of Secretary General Halil Akinci, Deputy Secretary General Gismat Gozalov and Project Directors Zamin Aliyev and Hatice Tugba Ikizler, will also hold bilateral meetings with Azerbaijani government authorities including Foreign Ministry, Education Ministry, Ministry for Transportation, State Customs Committee, State Committee for Diaspora and State Ministry for Religious Affairs.
 
Also, within the scope of the visit, Secretary General Halil Akinci will meet Azerbaijani Member of the Council of Elders Fettah Heydarov and speak before the students of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.
