Flag of the Turkic Council was officially adopted
e Council of Foreign Ministers, which convened in Bishkek on August 22, 2012, a day before the Turkic Council Summit, officially adopted the flag of the organization. The newly adopted flag was introduced by the foreign ministers during the press conference.
 
Foreign ministers of the Turkic Council highlighted the level of institutionalization achieved so far by the organization and expressed their belief in further integration among Turkic countries. The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Halil Akinci presented the Council’s official flag. The flag was created using the elements of the national flags of the Member States. The sky-blue color of the Kazakh flag, the sun from the Kyrgyz flag, the crescent from the Turkish flag, and the star from the Azerbaijani flag were combined to form the flag of the Turkic Council.
