Government of Azerbaijan and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation co-organized an international conference entitled “Women of the Turkic World from past to present”.
On 11 October 2019, the Government of Azerbaijan and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation co-organized an international conference entitled “Women of the Turkic World from past to present”.
The conference, which was moderated by Dr. Hicran Huseynova, the Head of the State Committee responsible for Family, Women and Children issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan,  was attended by women MPs from the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva, TURKPA Secretary General Altinbek Mamayusupov, diplomats from Turkish and Kazakh Embassies in Baku, academicians,  representatives of NGOs and public and private organizations.
The participants of the conference made presentations in which they  emphasized the important and strong role of women in the Turkic world from past to present. During the meeting, it was also stated that the women in theTurkic world have always been present at many levels in politics, public, private sector, science and business world and they fulfilled these tasks very successfully.
Ms. Yildiz Uzakova, the Project Director representing the Turkic Council, gave information about the ongoing activities of the Council and informed the guests about the female participation to the programs developed by the Turkic Council  in the field of economic copperation and education, such as junior diplomats and the Orhun process.
