Hungary Joins the Turkic Investment Fund

The Deputy Head of Mission of the Consulate General of Hungary in Istanbul, Ms. Carmen Csernelházi, visited the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on 28 June 2024 and handed over Hungary's instrument of accession to the Agreement Establishing the Turkic Investment Fund to Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Sadi Jafarov.

The accession of Hungary as a full member to the Agreement signed by the OTS Member States in Ankara on 16 March 2023, marks a significant milestone. Both parties expressed optimism that this important step will further strengthen economic relations between Hungary and the Turkic States in the coming years.

Mr. Jafarov welcomed Hungary's accession, stating, "Hungary's membership in the Turkic Investment Fund underscores the growing economic ties and mutual interests between Hungary and the Turkic States. We look forward to fruitful cooperation and shared prosperity."

The Turkic Investment Fund aims to bolster economic growth and investment among its member states. Hungary's membership is expected to bring fresh opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and shared economic benefits.
