The international conference on the theme “Life, scientific creativity and political environment of Imam Sarakhsi” was organized in Osh, the Kyrgyz Republic on August 26-27, 2022.

At the Conference H.E. Suyunbek Kasmambetov, State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Sultanbai Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY and Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States delivered speeches. The event was attended by about 300 representatives of academic circles including more than 50 experts from foreign educational institutions and research centers.

During the conference, the participants considered the role and significance of the heritage of Imam Sarakhsi in the development of Islamic law and the schools of jurists-faqihs, as well as in Karakhanids and Ottoman Empires.

At the end of the event, the participants visited the mausoleum of Imam Sarakhsi in Uzgen city to honor his memory, as well as participate in the Uzgen “Minara-Festival”.
