Joint Statement of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States regarding events in Egypt
We deplore the loss of lives and injuries which occurred in Egypt yesterday as a result of use of force to respond to the ongoing demonstrations. We consider that civilian casualties are unacceptable and convey our condolences to the families of those killed and wish for a full and speedy recovery to those injured. We emphasize the urgent need for exercising restraint and reconciliation in the country and call for restoration of security, democracy and stability.
