Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States held in Shusha, Azerbaijan

The Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) convened on 6 July 2024 on the sidelines of the Informal Summit of the OTS in Shusha, Azerbaijan. 

 

Hosted by H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the meeting was attended by H.E. Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, H.E. Jeenbek Kulubayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of Türkiye, H.E. Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, H.E. Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, H.E. Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS.

 

The discussions centered around the Shusha Summit framework, the agenda and anticipated documents to be signed by the OTS Council of Heads of States. Additionally, the appointment of Mr. István Vásáry as the new Executive Director of the OTS Representation Office in Hungary was decided by the Ministers.

 

Furthermore, the OTS Secretary General provided updates on recent activities and future developments within the Organization. The Ministers expressed their appreciation to the Secretariat for enhancing the OTS's international visibility and strengthening the Organization. They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting these endeavors moving forward.
