OTS Secretary General H.E. Baghdad Amreyev chaired the meeting of the Senior Officials of the Ministries of Economy and Finance and relevant Institutions of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which was held on 15-16 March 2022 in Istanbul as the first round of discussions on the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund.
In line with the decision of the Council of Heads of State of the OTS taken at the 8th Summit held in Istanbul on 12 November 2021, Senior Officials of the relevant Ministries discussed the details of the framework Agreement of the Turkic Investment Fund.
At the meeting, the Member States held fruitful discussions and reached an initial agreement on the core elements of the Fund including issues related to functions, powers, financial resources, organization, and operations of the Turkic Investment Fund.
The Parties agreed to hold the second round of discussions in the forthcoming weeks.
