Meeting of the Turkic Council Working Group on Tourism for Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package was held in Istanbul on 21-22 April 2015.
Representatives of the National Tourism Associations, tour operators and relevant State authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Turkey participated in the meeting. Furthermore, a representative of the TRT (National TV Channel of Turkey)-Avaz, was also present at the event.
The Meeting was moderated by Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council. Project Directors of the Turkic Council Yedil Myrzakhanov, Farid Damirli, Zhuldyz Zuzakova and Pelin Musabay Baki were in charge for its coordination.
During the meeting, the parties made presentations and discussed the estimated destination of the Turkic Council-Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package that is a project launched at the previous Turkic Council Summit devoted to cooperation in tourism held in Bodrum, Turkey.
Parties discussed the details of the preparation for the brochure and the short video on the Joint Tour Package to be presented to the Heads of States of the Member States at the next Turkic Council Summit in Kazakhstan.
