Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov paid an official visit to Doha to meet with the President of the ICSS Mr. Muhammed Hanzab on 17-18 May 2016.
On the margins of his official visit, Secretary General Hasanov met with the Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce, Mohammed Ahmed T. Al-Kawari, on 17 May 2016.
Secretary General Hasanov provided the Vice Chairman with information on the Turkic Council and its activities, with a special reference to the Council’s efforts on economy. Secretary General Hasanov elaborated on the activities about the Turkic Business Councils, Turkic Business Forums and Turkic Business Portal.
Secretary General Hasanov proposed to organize a joint business forum with the participation of Turkic Business Forum members and Qatar Chamber of Commerce in Qatar. He also invited the Qatar Chamber of Commerce to the Turkic Business Forums to be held on "Transport" and "Alternative Energy" on the margins of Astana EXPO 2017.
Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry thanked Secretary General Hasanov for the extensive information provided and confirmed their cooperation with the Turkic Council on all topics discussed at the meeting.
He also underscored the importance of business-to-business relations between Qatar and Turkic Council member states and reiterated his readiness to take necessary steps to further cooperation.
During the meeting the Secretary General Hasanov was accompanied by Project Director Ali Çiviler and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul.
