Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkic Council and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has been signed on the margins of the First OIC Summit on Science and Technology held in Astana on 10 September 2017 by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov and the Secretary General of the OIC Dr. Yousef A. Othaimeen.
Ambassadors, Representatives of International Organizations, some participants of the Summit and the staff of the both Secretariats have been present during the Signing Ceremony.

The stated MoU will strengthen and base the existing cooperation between the two organizations with concrete projects.

The said MoU will also contribute to the obtaining the observer status of the Turkic Council at the OIC.

Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Directors Ali Çiviler and Yedil Mryzakhanov and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied the Secretary General Hasanov.
