I would like to express my gratitude for the declaration of Kastamonu, the city of Turkey, which is one of the historical centers, as the 2018 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, during the 35th Meeting of the Permanent Council of Culture Ministers of TURKSOY held in Kazakistan’s Turkestan city.
Until now, the cities namely; Astana (Kazakhstan), Eskişehir (Turkey), Kazan (Tatarstan), Merv (Turkmenistan), Sheki (Azerbaijan) and Turkestan (Kazakhstan) have been selected as cultural capitals of the Turkic World.
On behalf of the Turkic Council and on my own behalf, I would like to congratulate Kastamonu city, which stands out with its unique cultural and historical texture, and wish them all the best and success in the activities to be organized in this framework throughout 2018.
