It is with great sorrow that I learnt of the demise of H.E. Islam Kerimov, who is the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan since its Independence.
On behalf of the Turkic Council Secretariat and on my own behalf, I would like express our sorrow, extend our condolences to the brotherly and friendly people of Uzbekistan and the family of the departed and wish God’s Mercy on him.
I also wish that unity and cooperation between the brotherly Uzbekistan and the Turkic world will continue thereafter
