Today marks the centennial anniversary of the Great Victory of August 30, which firmly confirmed the triumph of the War of Independence and constituted the basis of the foundation of the host country and chair-in-office of the OTS, the Republic of Türkiye.

The Great Victory was won as a result of great efforts. Women, men, young or old, everyone was united for the cause of homeland and had a role in the salvation of the nation. The unparalleled success of strength and determination that was produced by the Victory has emerged Türkiye as one of the most respected nation-states and turned it into a strong political, economic and military power in the world.

On this very day, we would like to convey our heartfelt congratulations to the Turkish nation and commemorate the Founder and its Great Leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades in arms, and all the martyrs and veterans of the War of Independence.

It is a matter of pride that today, Türkiye under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan became a crucial actor in the international community, standing for justice, peace and development not just in its region but across the Middle East, Balkans, Africa and the entire world.

In today’s fast-changing and turbulent global agenda, Türkiye is showing strong solidarity with its brotherly Member and Observer States of the OTS in promoting common interests and successfully addressing the common challenges in the Turkic World.

Taking this opportunity we wish peace and solidarity to brotherly Türkiye and to the entire Turkic World.
